Post by SeedPost by RedFoxI wonder...
Also, do we know if it will require a subscription?
Pretty much, yes. http://www.pso-world.com/ for meeting infotainment
requirements. So far it seems a few of the old guard are becoming
interested in the new installment.
I think that we're largely dreaming if we think that the subscription-
free days from the original Dreamcast release will ever come back, even in
the States. On the other hand, PSU has the virtue of separating progress
in the offline game from progress in the online game, so that should
block the powergaming and cheating by just a little bit. The fact that
this is being released simultaneously on PC and PS2 in most markets means
a nice wide variety of players too.
I haven't had a hunter's license since the Dreamcast servers went down,
and I didn't like Episode III enough to get a license on the Gamecube. I'm
definitely signing up for the new game though, just on the strength of the
new game features alone (six-player parties, vehicles for fast transport,
and so on.)
